Newport, RI Cliff Walk

I took theses photos while on a walk along the Cliff Walk in Newport, RI with my wife. This is a photo of a mansion on the Salve Regina University Campus. Unfortunately the weather wasn't so great. I learned one lesson while out shooting though. Always make sure the camera is set to ISO 100 or 200. I made the mistake of of not realizing it was set to Auto ISO, so all the photos taken were taken at ISO 1600. Because of this alot of the photos displayed some noise. First Time Out With Sony Alpha A200

Theres a WWII monument down the block from my work, and since I just got a new bag, I figured I'd take the camera out for its first test run outside. I took a bunch of photos at the monument, testing the different settings and figuring out how the effected the photos. After the monument I took a short ride to a field with a beautiful and very old tree and snapped some shots. This time I used a polarizing filter to see what different effects I could achieve. Early Christmas Gift

My wife gave me an early Christmas gift today. The LowePro Flipside300 camera backpack. I gotta say, this bag is pretty cool. It features a unique safety feature because you can only access the bag from the back (the part that faces your back while wearing it). I liked this feature because I'd eventually like to take trips to Boston or other places and liked the added safety. It also has a built-in tripod holder, accessory pocket, and has enough room inside to hold a DSLR w/ 300mm lens attached. Theres also sections for other lenses and a removable pouch inside for items like cords, card readers, filters, etc. All in all its a great back for a great price too. Check out this youtube video for more info on the bag.

First Photo With Sony Alpha A200

I was messing around with my camera and I noticed my cat was laying all over the Christmas decorations. This is the first photo I took with the new camera. I used a stool to steady the camera for the long exposure needed.
